Search visibility (SEO)
Work that helps people find you when they search on Google, Google Maps and AI assistants for what you sell, in the place you sell it.
Search visibility work makes a website easier for search engines to read and more useful for the people searching. It has three parts: technical fixes to the site, a complete Google Business Profile, and pages that answer real questions. It is quoted after we review your site, and nobody can honestly promise first place on Google.
The three parts of search work
Technical foundations
Page titles and descriptions, a sitemap, working links, fast loading on phones, secure connection, and structured data that tells Google what each page is about.
Local search
A verified Google Business Profile with the right category, hours, photos and services, and the same name, address and phone number everywhere you are listed.
Content people search for
One clear page for each service and each question customers ask, written in the words they use, with the answer near the top.
Useful pages on fast, clear websites
Google's own guidance asks whether a page gives original, first-hand information, whether the main heading describes it without exaggeration, and whether a reader leaves having learned enough to do what they came to do (Google Search Central). Pages written only to attract search engines are what it tries to filter out.
It also measures experience. A page is rated “good” when its main content appears within 2.5 seconds, it responds to a tap within 200 milliseconds, and the layout does not jump around (web.dev).
AI search tools summarise pages that state the answer plainly, give numbers with sources and are kept up to date. The same work serves both.
How search work runs
Review
We check how the site is indexed, what it appears for now, and what blocks it.
Plan
A written list of fixes and pages, in order of likely effect, with the price.
Fix
Technical problems first, because content cannot rank on a site Google struggles to read.
Write
Service and question pages are added or rewritten.
Report
You see what changed in searches, clicks and enquiries, in plain language.
Honest timelines
- Days. A verified Google Business Profile can start showing on Google Maps soon after verification.
- Weeks. Technical fixes are picked up as Google re-reads the site.
- Months. New pages on a new or small site take time to earn a position, and competitive searches take longest.
We do not buy links, copy other sites or publish pages written only for search engines. Those methods can get a site removed from results.
Common questions
Can you get us to number one on Google?
Nobody can promise that, and a company that does should worry you. Google decides the order. What we can do is remove the things holding your site back and give Google better pages to show.
Do we need to pay for Google Ads?
No. Ads and search results are separate. Ads show while you pay; search visibility work builds something that keeps working. Some businesses use both.
We are a small business in one town. Is this for us?
Local businesses often gain the most, because few local competitors have done the basics. Start with the free step: set up your Google Business Profile.
Will AI search replace Google?
People now search in several places, including AI assistants. Those tools draw on the same websites, so clear, accurate, well-structured pages matter in all of them.
