In short
Our portfolio used to lean on designed mockups. We replaced them with real screenshots of live websites, each with a working link, and we label our own projects and concept demonstrations separately from client work.
The problem with mockups
A mockup shows how something could look. A screenshot shows how it does look. For a buyer deciding whom to trust, only the second is evidence.
What changed
- Each client project shows a real capture and a link to the live website.
- Our own projects are labelled as ours, so they are not mistaken for client results.
- Concept demonstrations are labelled as concepts and fictional, so no one mistakes them for real businesses.
- We do not show results we cannot prove.
How to judge any portfolio
- Open the live site. Does it work on your phone?
- Is the project described in words, not only pictures?
- Does the company say who the project was for and what it was meant to do?
- Are demonstrations clearly labelled as demonstrations?
